HOW I WASH MY MAKEUP BRUSHES | Beauty How-to

A lot of people that I know neglect washing their make up brushes on a regular basis which causes a lot of hygiene related issues (spots, acne, bacteria, germs...) Here I am going to show you how I wash mine in a few quick and simple steps, so easy it doesn't seem a chore.

All you will need...

- Extra Virgin Olive Oil of your choice
- Baby Shampoo
- A Clean Towel
- A Medium Bowl
- Dirty Brushes

Pour your olive oil and baby shampoo in a bowl, then simply swirl your dirty brushes in the mixture, run them under warm running water and VOILA, there you have your clean brushes!

Seriously, the whole process takes me only a few minutes, then I leave them to dry on a towel and they are ready to be used the next morning freshly cleaned. I tend to do mine on a Sunday so they are ready for a new week.

How often do you clean your make up brushes?

HEALTHY BREAKFAST | Green Juice and Pancakes

Morning guys, rise and shine!

As promised, this is the healthy breakfast recipe that I have been loving recently, let me know what you think if you decide to give it a try.

I like to start my day with a cucumber, lemon and honey juice. Not only is it tasty, it also contains a high level of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Potassium and tons and tons of other good stuff. (Chlorophyll anyone?) Check the link below if you want to learn more about it.

Anyone who knows me knows I love a good pancake anytime, anyday. I have heard a lot about this particular pancake recipe just because it is so simple and guilt free, perfect to indulge on a nice morning to kick start your day! (Who am I kidding, I would eat this 24/7 if I could)

All you will need for this is simple, 2 eggs and a ripped banana!

Mix them together in a bowl and pop a few dollops in your pan, flipped and cooked until golden and serve while hot. I like mine with Clarks maple syrup.

Enjoy!

BAKE WITH ME | Easter cupcakes with cream cheese filling and brown sugar icing

I want to share with you guys another one of my favourite cupcake recipes with cream cheese filling, perfect for upcoming Easter! (Any excuse ehy!)

Preheat the oven to 175 degree and line your cupcake tins, this recipe makes 18 cupcakes.

All you will need for the filling is:

- 6 ounces of cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons of icing sugar
- 1 egg
- half a cup of easter eggs, chopped up

Add the cream cheese, egg and icing sugar to your electric mixer, beat at medium speed until all combined. Stir in the chocolate after with a spatula.

To make the cupcakes, you will need:

-1 1/2 cups of all purpose of plain flour
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup of baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla

In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together, to that add the milk, vegetable oil and vanilla.

Fill the cupcake tins half full with the cupcake mixture.

Add a dollop of the cream cheese filling to the middle of the cupcake tins.

Put them in the oven for 25-30 minutes.

To make the frosting, you will need:

- 1/3 cup of brown sugar
- 1/3 of butter
- 3 tablespoons of milk
- 1 1/2 cup of icing sugar
- half a cup of easter eggs, chopped up

Heat the brown sugar and butter over a medium heat on the stove and bring up to just before boil. Leave to cool for about 30 minutes before adding to the icing sugar.

When cooled, mix this with the icing sugar.

Have fun icing the cupcakes and add the chopped up chocolate pieces on top and there you have it.

Enjoy baking these goodies and share any pictures with me on Instagram! #bakewithmevis

I have a breakfast post coming up tomorrow morning, stay tuned.
